ROLL CALL FUJIFILM FIXED-LENS MEDIUM FORMAT CAMERAS • The Fujifilm GFX100RF is actually the latest in a long line of medium format cameras with fixed lenses, a configuration that the company continued to pursue even when lens interchangeability was considered more desirable. However, the concept of a comparatively compact camera that delivers a big picture is now perhaps even more appealing in the digital era.

ONCE MORE WITH FEELING • The S1R II gets a downsize physically, but is significantly upsized in terms of its capabilities, especially for video. There’s plenty to like for photographers too, and Panasonic reckons it’s “…our best ever hybrid mirrorless camera”. Wow!
