TANGLED LINES LEGENDS • When it was confirmed that kiting would be part of the Olympics a lot of athletes switched over from sailing, windsurfing or other sports. So it was especially gratifying that Annelous, one of the few competitors who was already an accomplished pro rider in park and freestyle and had frequently featured in this magazine, bagged a place on the podium. We were stoked for her and her achievement.

BEHIND THE LENS • If you’re a regular reader of these illustrious pages then you’ll surely recognize André Magarao’s photos which have appeared in issues frequently and on at least eight of our covers, including this one. We thought it was high time we found out more about the talented man behind the lens. He hails from Brazil but travels widely to shoot kiteboarding and other action sports.
